Heres a print screen of the face outline I was intending to create through the use of different materials such as watercolours and blended paints. I managed to create this design by blending some paints and watercolours onto a sheet of A4 paper, and then scanning it onto the computer, I then took it into Photoshop and inserted an image of the face i had found on the internet and then merged them together so that the colours were in the shape of a face, like so.
I am happy with this final outcome because its how I wanted it to look, and when looking at other flyers as part of my research I noted that I want the work I design to be bright and edgy and stand out. My main inspiration was from the fashion illustrations.

I am also going to create my own design like this to go in the corner of the flyer/ posters. i like the way its got lots of images combined into one design. the images i will be including will all be to do with music.
This is an example of what mine is going to look like with the blended watercolours as the background, and then i will go around the outline of the face using black ink to make it look more affective.
I want to create flyers and posters with similar styles to this design. i like the contrast of the ink filled black amongst colour, and i like the idea of it bursting with design and pattern. i will probably hand generate my own with most of it using paints and water colours and then tweek it up on photoshop.
  this logo is good for the BME because its symbolic, for example the white shaped 'b' respresents the word 'british', also the all around shape can be seen as a variety of different images, such as a music note, headphones, or even a CD.
 i think the use of colours makes it catchy and individual.

John pasche's work;
  • looks catchy because of all the colours being blended in together.
  • the alignment of the type looks good and so does the use of uppercase because its different and stands out.
  • this deasign is mainly computer generated, i can tell this by the brightened and saturated colours and the imagery itself.
Jamie Reid's work;
  • this portrays what the sex pistols are about mainly because they dont like people with authority or power.
  • most of jamies work uses well know images and then puts his stamp on it.
  • its almost a graffiti style, accept his work uses text to cover certain parts of the image.
  • he communicated to the target audience by being different and showing his rebellious side which people can relate to.
Peter Blake's work.
  • completely hand generated due to lack of software at the time.
  • made from a collage.
  • looks bright because of the range of colours used.
  • shows lots of creativity.
  • the use of uppercase type makes the title 'Beatles' stand out alot more.
  • he communicated to their target audience by showing that they appeal to all types of people which is similar to their music because all types of people still listen to the beatles.
